General information

Founded in 1962, the University of Trento has always formed alliances with Italian and foreign institutions and organizations and has made it its mission to effectively prepare students for life. The University of Trento, for 20 years functioned as a private university, only in 1982 received the status of a state university.

As a result of the Milan Agreement signed between the Italian government and the autonomous region of Trento in 2009, the University of Trento received a special mandate, and all its financial resources were covered by the state. At this stage, which greatly contributed to the development of the university infrastructure, the development of the university library service, sports centers, laboratory facilities, educational and research centers increased significantly.

Today, more than 16,000 students are educated at this university, and its teaching staff includes about 600 professors and researchers, as well as a similar number of technical and administrative staff.

With 11 faculties and 3 different campuses, the University of Trento has a wide range of departments and has become a renowned university in Italy for the quality of the education it provides. As in all of Europe, the Bachelor's degree at the University of Trento lasts 3 years, and the language education in some faculties varies in Italian or English.

 

University of Trento and space

With the participation of the University of Trento, the Rime radar was prepared for sending to Jupiter and its icy moons (Ganymede, Callisto, and Europe).

The European Space Agency (ESA) has just delivered a spacecraft Designed for the Juice mission. The launch is expected to take place in 2022 and reach Jupiter in 2030. For the first time, spacecraft Rime will carefully examine Jupiter's moons to unravel the mystery hidden beneath their ice crust.

Tuition fee

Since the University of Trento is a public university, it has the same price range as other public universities in Italy. Accommodation

The University of Trento has over 1,500 residences or shared apartments for students who wish to take advantage of the dormitory's services.
