General information
Roma Tre University is a public university with about 40,000 students. It was founded in 1992 as Terza Università Degli Studi di Roma (Third University of Rome) with the idea of a “young university for youth”. Founded at the request of several professors from the University of Rome La Sapienza, Roma Tre, the third public university to be based in Rome, has grown in a very short time. So much so that it is currently the second-largest university in Rome and one of the largest research institutes in the country. According to the annual ranking of large universities (20,000 to 40,000) by CENSIS, which ranks Italian universities, it always manages to get into the top 5%, being at the top.
The most successful and popular department of the university is humanitarian. This is followed by the Faculty of Architecture, and more recently - the Faculties of Economics, Law and Political Science.
Location of Roma Tre University
Roma Tre University, located close to the Tiber River, is an Italian public research university with the main campus in the Ostiense area. Rome, with a population of about 3 million, is the capital of Italy and the Lazio region, as well as the largest and most populous city in the country. It is located in the Middle Western part of the Italian peninsula at the confluence of the Agnene River with the Tiber. Rome was Caput Mundi (Capital of the World), la Città Eterna (Eternal City), Limen Apostolorum (Threshold of the Apostles), la città dei sette colli (City of Seven Hills) or simply l'Urbe (City) and has been the center of Western civilization for centuries and the Vatican, seat of the Catholic Church, is a residential area of Rome.
Rome is considered the third most visited city in Europe. Also, this city has cultural and police knowledge for the whole country. Here is the headquarters of three of the 100 largest companies in the world (Enel, ENI, Telecom Italia), as well as the headquarters of the vast majority of large Italian companies.
Rome is perhaps one of the few cities that survived World War II. Continues to maintain its Renaissance and Baroque character. The historic center of Rome was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1980.
