General information

The University of Venice IUAV is one of the first schools of architecture, founded in 1926 under the name Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (Institute of Architecture of the University of Venice), and currently provides education in architecture, urban planning, fashion, art, graphics, and design. In order to provide better education, IUAV has limited access to undergraduate, graduate, continuing education, and doctoral degrees, and therefore the average student population at the university is around 4,200.

The university has 4 undergraduate departments, 6 alumni, 9 doctoral departments, as well as continuing education courses, various courses, seminars, and training events. The University of Venice IUAV, which is one of the few universities in its field, provides its students with various internship or exchange opportunities thanks to the universities with which it has agreements in Italy and abroad. One of the best schools for design and art in Europe and the world, the university is the only university in Italy that provides comprehensive education and training in architecture, communication, industry, urban planning, design, visual arts, theater, and fashion.

Location of University of Venice IUAV

In Venice, the capital of the Veneto region, the City of Waters, there are about 120 large and small islands and about 400 bridges. Located on the coast of Venice, the University of Venice IUAV is also connected by the 3,605-meter Lagunes Bridge. The headquarters of the faculty and the lecture halls are located in the Renaissance building, the former monastery of Teresa, in the western Dorsoduro district of the historic center of Venice; the studios have been remodeled from the adjacent Magazzini 7 (Ligabue) warehouses overlooking the Giudecca Canal. These two buildings provide basic training for all project departments. In this part of Venice, you are surrounded by the sea, which can be reached by boats that take people from one place to another. In addition, thanks to the 3.5 km bridge, you can reach Venice in a very short time. Trains leave from Santa Lucia Train Station, buses leave from Piazzale Roma and Marco Polo and Treviso airports.

Tuition fee

The University of Venice IUAV calculates tuition fees based on the family income of the students. The cost varies from 156 to 2800 Euros. Due to the benefits and discounts currently applied, qualified students or students with disabilities can receive scholarships, discounts, or exemptions from fees. Commissions are paid in 3 installments.

Accommodation
