General information

Although the history of the University of Verona goes back several centuries, the birth of the modern university began with the opening of the Faculty of Economics and Trade in 1959. It operated as a branch of the University of Padua in 1963, followed by the Faculty of Surgical Medicine, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculties of Art and Philosophy. Finally, in 1982, the institution received university status, became independent from Padua, and was named the University of Verona.

The University of Verona is located in close proximity to the Adige River, which originates in the Alps, flows through Lake Garda, and takes its name from the city of Verona.

Tuition fee

Tuition fees at the University of Verona are calculated based on the student’s family income and country of origin. Students residing in Italy have a tuition fee of around 500 Euros per year, a non-EU student who does not have Italian citizenship has an annual tuition fee of 1,000 Euros. This fee includes everything (registration, fees, duties, taxes, etc.). University fees are paid in 3 installments.
