General information

University Cassino and Southern Lazio is a public higher education institution that has been conducting its academic activities since 1979. Despite the fact that the university is considered to be a medium-sized institution, it has over 14,000 students and a teaching staff of 700 professionals of the highest category. There are international exchange programs for students and teachers. The university has its own library, a student residence on campus, 13 departments, and 47 laboratories.

The University of Cassino offers internationally recognized higher education degrees, both pre bachelor's degrees, namely certificates, diplomas, as well as bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. A large number of foreign students are admitted to the University of Cassino every year. All students have the same rules as Italian students.

University Cassino and Southern Lazio include faculties in Economics, Engineering, Humanities (Literature and Philosophy), Law, and Humanities. The University of Cassino, which also has dual degree programs, has bilateral agreements with 80 universities around the world thanks to the active work of the Office of International Relations, established in 1990.

University Cassino and Southern Lazio is located in the small, cozy town of Cassino, in the Lazio region. This area is considered to be part of the historical region of Terra di Lavoro. As the city is located at the crossroads of the regions of Lazio, Campania, Abruzzo, and Molise, it is considered a strategic center of transport and communications.

Studentship in the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio

Cassino, where the university is located, is known as the site of the Abbey of Montecassino and the Battle of Monte Cassino in World War II, which resulted in heavy German losses as well as the destruction of the city. Cassino has a population of around 360,570, making it the second-largest city in the province. A large number of tourists come here every year. The university campus is of urban-type and is located in the vicinity of Cassino. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from the hostel to the nearest store, and about 40 minutes to the train station. There is a student bus from the university to the city center, the fare on which costs 1 Euro.

University Cassino and Southern Lazio occupy a vast and independent area entirely dedicated to campus activities. It has everything you need for training and practice, as well as for recreation and sports. From the 2014-2015 academic year, 200 new dormitories are available, and from 2016 another 100 will be added. The campus of the university is connected to the city center by a shuttle bus. More than 2,000 people visit the territory of the University every day, there is also a dining room.

Accommodation

The University of Cassino offers its students housing in a hostel on campus. Dorm rooms are single, double, and triple. The hostel has its own dining room.

Since this is a small town, students who do not want to stay in the hostel can rent an apartment or a room with their friends or themselves.

Tuition fee
