General information

The University of Turin is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Italy. Founded in 1404, the university has been recognized as a separate city within the city, with campuses located in different districts of Turin, contributing to cultural development, research, innovation, education, and employment.

Today, the University of Turin, one of the largest Italian universities open to international research and education, also offers courses in a variety of programs besides engineering and architecture. There are centers for medical diagnostics, biosensors, and nanotechnology, which are among the best in Italy. The University of Turin has a remarkable tradition of researching subjects such as history, philosophy, law, economics, and medicine. It is currently also developing in key sectors such as food science, social policy, information technology, arts and communication sciences.

The university has 22 libraries in 32 different areas. It is known for its Botanical Gardens and several university museums such as the Cesare Lombroso Museum of Criminal Anthropology and Luigi Rolando Museum of Human Anatomy. The university places particular emphasis on a network of local museums in a variety of subjects, from Egyptian to contemporary art, and operates its own media, radio, and television and film production.

According to the latest data, the University of Turin has 75,000 students. About 4,600 of them are international students. There are 69 undergraduate programs, 75 masters, and 34 doctoral programs. It has a wide educational staff: 429 professors and 776 associate professors.

Faculty of Medicine of University of Turin

Medical education at the University of Turin began in 2017. The medical school is located in a teaching hospital known as San Luigi in Orbassano, about 13 km southwest of Turin. Such a location allows students to observe various studies. The campus has everything you need for medical students. The medical school campus has a proximal structure, allowing students to easily communicate with faculty and other healthcare professionals. The medical school curriculum is also designed so that students can do an internship in their first year of study. The faculty has a special course "Dorsale Clinica". This type of training allows the student to discuss specific clinical cases with a specific clinical coordinator, continuing until the 6th year of study, when students will focus more on clinical issues.

Tuition fees at the University of Turin

Tuition fees at the University of Turin are calculated based on the student's family income and country of origin. The cost varies from 156 to 3500 Euros.

Accommodation

The educational institution provides dormitories for students of the University of Turin and international exchange students (Erasmus +, etc.).

The housing fee averages between 200 and 450 Euros per month. The price of individual rooms is about 300 Euros per month for a single room and 250 Euros for a double room. Apartments for rent starts from 500 Euros.
